THIS IS A TEMPORARY LIVE-IN POSITION THROUGH LABOR DAY
Position Details: Full-Time, Temporary, Live-In
Location: Nantucket, MA
Schedule: 5–6 days per week
Hours: Approximately 5–6 hours per day, typically between 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: $35–$45 per hour, Paid via W2 (on the books)
Duration: Now Through Labor Day

A private family in Nantucket, MA is seeking a trustworthy, reliable, and experienced Temporary Live-In Housekeeper to support the daily upkeep of their main house and guest house through Labor Day. This is a great opportunity for a professional housekeeper who is comfortable working in a high-end private home where attention to detail, organization, and discretion are essential.
Responsibilities Include:
- Daily housekeeping and general home upkeep.
- Deep cleaning and resetting the guest house.
- Maintaining the main house and guest house to a consistently high standard.
- Washing dishes and keeping the kitchen clean and organized.
- Dusting, tidying, and maintaining surfaces throughout the home.
- Household laundry and linen care.
- Making beds and refreshing bedrooms as needed.
- Keeping the home organized, orderly, and guest-ready.
- Caring for household items and furnishings with attention and respect.
- Following household routines and maintaining established systems.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has strong private home housekeeping experience, preferably in high-end homes.
- Is trustworthy, reliable, and professional.
- Has excellent attention to detail.
- Understands how to maintain organization in a home where everything has its place.
- Is proactive and able to work independently.
- Is respectful, discreet, and has a positive attitude.
- Is comfortable working in both a main house and guest house setting.
- Is available for a temporary live-in role through Labor Day.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ solid years of housekeeping experience in a private household.
- Excellent references from both current and previous employers.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must speak and be able to communicate well in English.
- Authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
- Valid Driver's license and clean driving record.
