Schedule: Monday–Saturday
Hours: 10:00 AM–3:00 PM, approximately 5 hours per day
Compensation: $35–$50 per hour, W2 (on the books)

A private family in New York City is seeking an experienced and nurturing Newborn Care / Housekeeper to provide daytime support for a newborn while also assisting with light household upkeep. The family will have a night nurse, so this role will focus on helping the mother during the day with newborn care, feeding routines, soothing, and general baby-related needs.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on newborn experience and is calm, attentive, professional, and dependable. Light housekeeping, simple cooking, shopping, and errands will also be part of the position.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive daytime care for a newborn
- Assist with feeding, burping, soothing, and settling the baby
- Handle diapering, dressing, and general newborn hygiene
- Support age-appropriate feeding and sleep routines
- Maintain clean and organized baby areas, bottles, and nursery supplies
- Wash and sanitize bottles and baby-related items
- Handle baby laundry and linens as needed
- Coordinate with the parents and night nurse to maintain consistency of care
- Perform light housekeeping and general household tidying
- Assist with simple cooking and food preparation
- Complete grocery shopping and household errands as needed

Qualifications:
- Professional experience caring for newborns.
- Previous experience as a Newborn Care Specialist, Infant Nanny, Baby Nurse, or similar role strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of newborn feeding, sleep, diapering, soothing, and hygiene.
- Knowledge of newborn safety and infant development.
- Comfortable working alongside parents and a night nurse.
- Strong professional references.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
