Compensation: $35 to $45 per hour

A warm, busy Manhattan family is seeking an experienced, organized, and proactive Nanny / Family Assistant to support the care of their two daughters, ages 10 and 12, while also helping maintain the smooth day-to-day flow of the household.
This role is ideal for someone who is nurturing, dependable, and highly organized, and can balance childcare responsibilities with hands-on family assistant support. The right candidate will be confident in managing after-school routines, helping the children stay on track, and assisting with household tasks that contribute to an orderly, well-run home.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide attentive after-school care and supervision for two girls, ages 10 and 12
- Assist with homework and help keep the children organized with their academic responsibilities
- Prepare the children for the next school day, including organizing backpacks, clothing, lunches, and school items
- Prepare meals and assist with daily family cooking
- Handle family laundry, including washing, folding, ironing, and putting items away
- Run errands and complete grocery shopping as needed
- Maintain light organization and upkeep of the home
- Help support the overall daily flow and efficiency of the household
- Serve as a reliable, steady presence for both the children and the family
The ideal candidate will be:
- Experienced with school-aged children
- Warm, polished, and engaging
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable balancing childcare and household assistant duties
- Proactive, dependable, and able to take initiative
- Able to work in a busy household with professionalism and flexibility
Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ solid years of nanny and family assistant experience in a private household.
- Excellent references from both current and previous employers.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must speak and be able to communicate well in English.
- Authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
- Valid Driver's license and clean driving record.
