THIS IS A LIVE-IN OR LIVE-OUT POSITION:
- Position Details: Full-Time, Live-Out or Live-In.
- Live-In Details: Private room and bathroom provided.
- Location: New York, NY.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday.
- Hours: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
- Compensation: $85,000–$100,000 per year, Paid via W2 (on the books).
- Start Date: July 1, 2026.
A private family in New York City is seeking an experienced, dependable, and detail-oriented Housekeeper / Cook to support the daily upkeep and smooth running of their home. This is a long-term opportunity for a professional who takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized environment while also preparing healthy, delicious meals for the household. Chinese speaker is a plus.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform general housekeeping and daily upkeep of household spaces.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organized home.
- Handle laundry, folding, and ironing.
- Organize and maintain closets, drawers, cabinets, and storage areas.
- Keep household items, supplies, and shared spaces neat and orderly.
- Assist with light cleaning and tidying; this role does not require heavy deep cleaning.
- Prepare daily meals for the household, with a strong focus on dinner (Chinese).
- Assist with simple meal planning and ingredient preparation.
- Clean and maintain the kitchen after meal preparation.
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong housekeeping standards and excellent organizational skills.
- Strong cooking skills with the ability to prepare healthy, flavorful meals on a daily basis.
- Familiarity with Chinese or Asian cuisine is preferred, but not required.
- Willingness to learn recipes and adapt to the family’s preferences.
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Respectful, flexible, and professional in a private household setting.
- Positive attitude and interest in a long-term role.
- Experience working in homes with children and/or elderly family members is a plus.

- Comfortable balancing housekeeping and cooking responsibilities.

Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ solid years of housekeeping/cooking experience in a private household.
- Excellent references from both current and previous employers.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must speak and be able to communicate well in English.
- Authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
- Valid Driver's license and clean driving record.
