A private family in Bedford, NY, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to support the day-to-day needs of the home and family. The ideal candidate is organized, flexible, comfortable around multiple animals, and able to balance housekeeping, laundry, pet care, light meal preparation, and occasional assistance with the children’s transportation and date-night coverage.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform general and detailed housekeeping throughout the home.
- Handle household laundry, folding, and general clothing care.
- Clean pet habitats and assist with feeding and general pet care.
- Help drive the children to activities and appointments as needed.
- Assist with light meal preparation and family dinner prep.
- Wash dishes and maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
- Water and care for household plants.
- Help keep household spaces neat, organized, and well maintained.
- Provide occasional date-night childcare approximately once every three weeks.
- Assist with additional household tasks as needed.
Cooking Requirement:
Cooking is required on a light basis. The family has no dietary restrictions and is looking for someone who can assist with simple meal preparation and dinner prep
Qualifications & Required Qualities:
- Previous private household or professional housekeeping experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Comfortable working around and caring for multiple animals.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to multitask and manage several responsibilities efficiently.
- Dependable, organized, and flexible.
- Comfortable assisting with children and occasional babysitting.
- Able to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong professional references.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
