Position Details: Part-Time, Live-Out
Location: Scarsdale, NY
Days: Monday–Friday
Hours: 2:00 PM–8:00 PM preferred. The family is also open to a 1:00 PM–7:00/7:30 PM schedule. Flexibility is important, and Fridays will typically end around 6:30–7:00 PM.
Compensation: $30–$40 per hour, W2 (on the books)
Start Date: October 6, 2026

A private family in Edgemont, NY, is seeking a dependable and proactive Family Assistant / Housekeeper to support the daily needs of the home. The role is primarily focused on housekeeping and laundry, with additional responsibilities including healthy meal preparation, errands, and driving children to activities.

Main Work Duties:
  • Perform detailed and light housekeeping throughout the residence.
  • Handle household laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and putting items away.
  • Iron clothing and linens as needed.
  • Prepare healthy after-school snacks and dinners for the children.
  • Run household errands, including dry cleaning and car-related errands.
  • Assist with carpools and transportation to activities.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness throughout the home.
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with the family's other housekeeper.

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working in a high-end private residence strongly preferred.
  • Strong housekeeping and laundry skills.
  • Ironing experience preferred.
  • Comfortable preparing healthy meals and snacks.
  • Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
  • Prior longevity with a private family, ideally two years or longer, strongly preferred.

Cooking:
Yes. The position includes preparing healthy after-school snacks and dinners for the children. There are no known food allergies, and the family is willing to provide guidance on meal preferences.
