Hours: Approximately 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM, 15–20 hours per week
Compensation: $30–$40 per hour, Paid via W2 (on the books)

A busy family in Larchmont, NY is seeking a reliable, organized, and proactive Family Assistant / Housekeeper to provide part-time morning household support. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping a home run smoothly, can work efficiently within a shorter morning schedule, and is comfortable assisting with both household tasks and child-related support.
The family strongly prefers someone who can start early and finish by approximately 11:30 AM. The required workdays are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, with Tuesday and Saturday as optional additional days.
Main Work Duties:
- Wash dishes, load/unload the dishwasher, and put dishes away.
- Clean and reset the kitchen, including wiping counters and tables, sweeping floors, cleaning spills, and taking out garbage.
- Make beds and straighten bedrooms, common areas, and other rooms throughout the home.
- Perform light dusting and general tidying as needed.
- Keep toilet paper, hand soap, and household essentials stocked.
- Bring garbage bins in and out of the garage.
- Organize mail, including discarding junk mail as directed.
- Help keep the home clean, stocked, uncluttered, and running smoothly.
- Handle laundry, including washing, folding, ironing, and putting clothing away.
- Drop off and pick up dry cleaning as needed.
- Organize clothes, closets, drawers, cabinets, and household areas.
- Maintain existing organizing systems and help keep spaces neat and functional.
- Pack and unpack luggage, especially for the children.
- Help children get ready in the morning.
- Prepare simple breakfasts for the children, such as cereal and fruit.
- Drive children to school as needed; driving is required.
- Use of the family’s car may be available if the candidate does not wish to use their own vehicle.
- Provide occasional babysitting or care when children are home from school.
- Put away and organize toys, including indoor and outdoor toys.
- Make sure toy parts are together, operational, and properly stored.
- Change batteries or order replacement parts for toys when needed.
- Grocery shop and put groceries away.
- Assist with meal preparation.
- Package and drop off returns or other outgoing packages.
- Run errands and assist with general household tasks as needed.
- Keep the home stocked with household items by purchasing during errands or ordering online.
- Organize boxes and recycling, including trips to the recycling center as needed.
- Organize and sweep the garage.
- Clean out and vacuum cars.
- Help organize toys in the yard.
- Clean patio furniture and grill as needed.
- Make sure upholstery is clean and well-maintained.
- Clean gym equipment.
- Change lightbulbs when needed.
- Assist with other cleaning, organizing, errands, and odds and ends as needed.

Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ solid years of housekeeping/family assistant experience working in a private home.
- Excellent references from both current and previous employers.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must speak and be able to communicate well in English.
- Authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
- Valid Driver's license and clean driving record.
