Days: Monday–Friday
Hours: 1:00 PM–6:00 PM. The family has some flexibility and may shift the schedule by up to one hour earlier or later for the right candidate.
Compensation: $45–$55 per hour, paid via W2 (on the books)
Start Date: October 12, 2026

A private family in Beacon, NY is seeking a warm, capable, and proactive Family Assistant to support the household and provide after-school assistance for their son. This role combines family support, light household tasks, errands, organization, scheduling, and vendor coordination.

Main Work Duties:
  • Assist with homework and encourage outdoor activities.
  • Coordinate extracurricular activities and related scheduling.
  • Perform light tidying and household resets.
  • Load and unload the dishwasher.
  • Fold laundry and transfer loads between the washer and dryer.
  • Maintain grocery lists and shop for pantry items, snacks, and household supplies.
  • Assist with household organization and decluttering projects.
  • Coordinate vendors, service providers, and maintenance appointments.
  • Run occasional errands, including library returns and post office trips.
  • Assist with basic family calendar management, including household and veterinary appointments.
  • Prepare simple food or meals occasionally as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Prior Family Assistant, Household Assistant, childcare, or similar private-home experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting children with homework and daily routines.
  • Experience working with neurodivergent children is strongly preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and be comfortable driving as part of the role.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Strong professional references preferred.
