Executive Housekeeper / Household Assistant — Part-Time

Schedule: Monday – Friday
Hours: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Occasional weekend support, approximately 2–3 hours, to help prepare the home for the upcoming week
Compensation: $30–$45 per hour

A private household in Washington, DC is seeking a professional, reliable, and detail-oriented Part-Time Executive Housekeeper / Household Assistant to help maintain a clean, organized, and well-run home. The ideal candidate is proactive, trustworthy, and comfortable taking ownership of daily household upkeep, laundry, errands, and general home support.
Main Work Duties:
- Perform detailed housekeeping and daily household upkeep.
- Keep rooms and common areas clean, organized, and properly reset.
- Handle laundry, folding, ironing/steaming, and linen care as needed.
- Maintain bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and living areas to a high standard.
- Assist with grocery shopping and restocking household essentials.
- Coordinate dry cleaning drop-off and pick-up.
- Run errands and provide general household support.
- Help prepare the home for the week ahead, including occasional weekend reset support.
- Prepare simple/light meals as needed, depending on the candidate’s experience.
- Communicate household needs, supply shortages, and maintenance concerns in a timely manner.
Required Qualities:
- Prior experience working in a private home or similar household setting.
- Strong housekeeping and laundry skills.
- Professional, reliable, and trustworthy.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and stay on task.
- Organized, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative.
- Comfortable running errands and assisting with general household needs.
- Flexible to provide occasional weekend support when needed.
- Able to prepare simple/light meals preferred.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ solid years of executive housekeeping for a private home.
- Excellent references from both current and previous employers.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must speak and be able to communicate well in English.
- Authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
- Valid Driver's license and clean driving record.
